OUR EXPERIENCE
My Journey

I've worked with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds, learning what makes each one unique. My desire to better understand and support dogs led me to complete my degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare (BSc), which has significantly improved how I approach training and behaviour work.

All Ages & Challenges

From puppies needing early socialisation to senior dogs with complex behavioural challenges, including anxiety, aggression, and reactivity issues. Each one teaches me something new.

My Approach

I approach every case with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of canine psychology. Using positive, science-based methods to help dogs and their families overcome challenges together.

What I've Seen: Countless dogs and their families building stronger bonds and seeing real improvements in behaviour and wellbeing. It's what drives me every day.

Maddog's Methods

I use modern, ethical, science-led methods that prioritise welfare, emotional safety, and real-world success.

  • No punishment
  • No dominance
  • No "quick fixes" that ignore how your dog feels
  • Why the behaviour is happening
  • What your dog needs to feel safe and supported
  • Practical changes that fit your lifestyle

What Maddog Doesn't Do

Maddog will never:

  • Use aversive tools (shock, prong, choke collars)
  • Push dogs beyond their emotional limits
  • Enforce dominance or punishment
  • Expect perfection from dogs or owners

Behaviour change should feel supportive, not scary.

  • Dogs struggling with fear, anxiety, reactivity, or frustration
  • Owners feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or worried they're "doing it wrong"
  • People who want ethical, welfare-first behaviour support
  • Anyone who wants to understand and work with their dog, not control them
